NUR 605 - Advanced Health Assessment and Clinical Reasoning - Practicum

Students apply knowledge and skills learned in NUR 604 to perform systematic and organized comprehensive health assessments of adolescents, adults and elders under the direction of a preceptor in primary care and other settings. Seminar experiences utilize a variety of teaching and learning strategies to enable critical thinking and growth. Clinical experiences focus on diagnostic reasoning as a framework to synthesize knowledge for comprehensive assessment of clients. Health promotion and sensitivity to cultural and developmental needs are emphasized. Graded ABCDE.
