THE 426 - Seminar in Stage Management.

Concurrent service as stage manager or assistant stage manager for a departmental production.(1-3).

Responsible for production management of departmental shows, the stage manager and assistant stage manager prepare and manage auditions and production components for rehearsals and performances, produce daily written rehearsal reports, assist directors and designers, and either chair or participate actively in weekly production meetings and seminar sessions. Production books are their responsibility; the final project includes submission of the books for grading and critique. Prepares students to be highly competitive in the widely expanding field of theatre, movies and television. May be repeated to a total of 6 credits.
