PTP 775 - Case Studies in Orthopedic PT.


DPT degree or admission to the post-professional transitional DPT program. (2).

Focus on specific movement disorders including musculoskeletal injuries and diseases of the spine and extremities, such as arthritis, fibromyalgia and acute trauma.  Students use scientific evidence to design functional exercise progression and highlight alternative approaches while responding to physical, psychological, and cultural and spiritual needs of the “patients”, interpreting information from diagnostic imaging systems, and considering implications of pharmacological agents.  Emphasis on written documentation to further potential for future publication. Seminar with online activities focusing on a new case each week.
