Engineering General Program (BSE)

Prerequisites (52 credits).

  1. ENG 112  or EHS 120  (3 cr.).
  2. MTH 121 , MTH 122 MTH 222 , MTH 303  (16 cr.).
  3. CSC 175  / CIS 175  (4 cr.).
  4. CHM 260 , CHM 261  (4 cr.).
  5. PHY 243 , PHY 245  (10 cr.).
  6. EGR 102 , EGR 165 , EGR 230 , EGR 260 , EGR 280  (15 cr.).

Students planning to follow the Engineering Management  Track should elect ECN 201  and ECN 202 .

Requirements (52-54 credits).  

  1. Core courses 
    EGR 310 , EGR 315 EGR 330 EGR 350 EGR 353 , EGR 356 , EGR 370 EGR 432 EGR 465 , EGR 466  (30 credits).
  2. EGR 281 , EGR 355 ; one additional Engineering laboratory courses for students following Option A, or the Computer Engineering, Engineering Management, or Environmental Engineering-track from:  EGR 322 , EGR 335 , EGR 397 , EGR 433  (2-3 credits).
  3. Grades of C (2.0) or better in at least seven of the ten core courses.
  4. Completion of Option A or B below (20-21 credits).
    Option A
    Twenty-one (21) additional credits in AUE or EGR courses at the 300 level or above.
    Option B
    Twenty to twenty-one (20-21) additional credits in one of the following tracks:
    Computer Engineering
    CSC 265 , CSC 266 , CSC 275 , CSC 277 , EGR 369 ; elective credits in CSC or CIS courses at the 300 level or above to bring the total track credits to at least 20.
    Engineering Management

    MGT 211 , MGT 313 , MGT 341 , MGT 347 , MGT 349 , MGT 371 , MGT 472 .
    Engineering Physics

    PHY 333 , PHY 343 , PHY 354 , PHY 367 , PHY 433 ; elective credits in AUE, CSC, EGR, MTH or PHY courses at the 300 level or above to bring the total track credits to at least 20.
    Environmental Engineering
    GEO 151 , GEO 272 , RPL 370 , RPL 371 , RPL 411  or RPL 472  or RPL 476 , RPL 486 .
  5. Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) license examination (typically taken during final term before graduation).
  6. All requirements of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) Bachelor of Science  degree, including General Education requirements .
  7. Elective credits to bring the total to at least 128 credits.
