Economics General Program (BS)


The Bachelor of Science in Economics is intended to provide a more rigorous option for students interested in graduate school, given the quantitative nature of graduate study and the profession in general.

Requirements.

A.  Economics (36 credits).  To include ECN 201 ECN 202 ECN 315 ECN 354 ECN 480  and no more than three credits from ECN 391 ECN 394 ECN 395 .
B.  Statistics (3 credits).  MTH 272  (preferred) or MGT 211  or SOC 215  or equivalent.
C.  Social sciences (12 credits).  An introductory course and at least nine additional credits at the 300 level or higher, outside economics.
D.  Mathematics (8 credits).  MTH 121 MTH 122 .
E.  All requirements of the College of Arts and Sciences Bachelor of Science degree , including General Education requirements
