Engineering General Program (BS)

Prerequisites. (54 credits).

  1. ENG 112  or EHS 120  (3 cr.).
  2. MTH 121 , MTH 122 , MTH 220 , MTH 222 , MTH 305  (18 cr.).
  3. CSC 175  / CIS 175  (4 cr.).
  4. CHM 260 , CHM 261  (4 cr.).
  5. PHY 243 , PHY 245  (10 cr.).
  6. EGR 102 , EGR 165 , EGR 230 , EGR 260 , EGR 280  (15 cr.).

Students planning to follow the Managerial Engineering Track should elect ECN 201 , ECN 202  and a course in statistics (e.g., BUS 211 ).

Requirements. (49-50 credits).  

  1. Core courses (27 credits).
    EGR 310 , EGR 315 EGR 330 EGR 350 EGR 353 EGR 370 EGR 432 EGR 465 , EGR 466  (27 credits).
  2. Two Engineering laboratory courses for students following Option A, or the Computer Engineering, Managerial Engineering, or Environmental Engineering-track; one for students following the Engineering Physics track (1-2 credits).
  3. Completion of Option A or B below (21 credits).

Option A
Twenty-one (21) additional credits in Engineering courses at the 300 level or above including EGR 321  and EGR 380 .

Option B
Twenty-one  (21) additional credits in one of the following tracks:

Computer Engineering
CSC 265 CSC 266 CSC 275 , CSC 277 ; at least 10 additional credits in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems courses at the 300 level or above.

Managerial Engineering

Completion of the Minor in General Business .

Engineering Physics

PHY 333 , PHY 343 , PHY 354 , PHY 367 , PHY 433 ; elective credits in engineering, physics, mathematics or computer science courses at the 300 level or above to bring the total track credits to 21.

Environmental Engineering
GEO 151 , GEO 272 , RPL 370 , RPL 371 , RPL 411  or  RPL 472  or RPL 476 , RPL 486 .

     D.     All requirements of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) Bachelor of Science  degree, including general education requirements .

     E.     Elective credits to bring the total to 128 credits.
