Introduction to data and database, DBMS; database system concepts and architecture. ER model for high level conceptual database design; design issues. Relational model concepts; relational constraints and violations; ER-to relational mapping. SQL*Plus environment; creation and modification of relations, DDL queries, data management and retrieval. PL/SQL overview. Functional dependencies; normal forms. ORACLE; basic structure, database structure and manipulation, storage organization.
