NUR 528 - Pediatrics for Advanced Practice-Theory

NUR 524 and NUR 525. (3).

This course focuses on acute and chronic health problems in pediatric patients. Emphasis will be placed on differential diagnosis and clinical decision-making in the pediatric environment. A variety of teaching and learning strategies will be utilized to promote critical thinking and provide the opportunity for synthesis of knowledge in assessment and management of pediatric patients in a primary care setting. An emphasis will be placed care that is sensitive to the cultural and developmental needs of the pediatric population.
