Views of theism in the religions of the ancient Middle East through modern Western religions of Judaism, Christianity and Islam; concepts of sublimity and enlightenment in the Eastern religions of Hinduism, Buddhism, Confucianism, Taoism and Shintoism; animistic and shamanic beliefs in native American religions and the religions of Africa, South American and the South Pacific.
