BIO 546 - Animal Behavior


Graduate standing; BIO 327  with a grade of C- (1.7) or better, or consent of instructor. (4).

Animal behavior studied through the use of comparative and ethological methods. Discussion of ontogeny of behavior, perceptual processes, learning, social behavior, communication, evolution, hormone and genetic influences, and species-specific behaviors. Lecture; one Saturday trip to the zoo required. Not open to students with credit for BIO 446 .
