Investigation of geophysical forces and plate tectonics, with emphasis on physical geology, geomorphology, and hydrology including basic rocks and minerals, mountain building, flood frequency, and glaciation. Special attention given to Michigan’s landscapes, map reading, and interpretation. Application of the scientific method in the laboratory and the field, with adherence to health and safety standards.
