Introduction to pediatric physical therapy using current best practice frameworks to guide learning and problem solving. Includes a detailed study of typical development and the social, cultural, economic, environmental and health related factors that influence development. Pediatric-onset conditions commonly seen in physical therapy practice are presented with pertinent histology, embryology, risk factors, pathology, etiology, clinical course, and surgical/medical/pharmacological management.
