PTP 821 - Statistical Analysis for Quantitative Research

Admission to the professional program in physical therapy or the Ph.D. in PT or consent of instructor. (3-4).

A comprehensive overview of common statistical topics and procedures in quantitative research including: descriptive and inferential statistics; parametric and non-parametric computations of variance; statistical measures of reliability and validity; simple and multiple linear regressions; logistic regression; and multivariate analysis of variance models. Students evaluate data analysis approaches from the peer-reviewed clinical literature, select appropriate statistical designs to address research questions, apply data analytical procedures using statistical packages, and report statistical outcomes. Graded ABCDE/Y.
