Admission to the MA in Education program; passing score on MTTC Basic Skills exam; graduate standing. (3)

Field placement in elementary school, accompanied by seminar designed as introduction to teaching profession. Students learn about teaching by participating in a public school classroom under the guidance of a mentor/teacher. Emphasis on use of critical thinking, reflection, and clinical observation to describe and analyze the role of classroom teachers in teaching and learning. Graded Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory
