Guided and supervised by clinical and faculty preceptors, students apply diagnostic and critical thinking skills while working with individuals across the life span experiencing mental health disease and disorders. Students demonstrate diagnostic skills, knowledge of pharmacologic agents based on individual characteristics, and conduct individual psycho-social therapy. 4 credits required for the DNP Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner concentration, 3 credits for the Post-Graduate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certificate.
