ECE 100 - A Global Lens: Learning, Supporting and Advocating with Children

Investigation of ways societies from across the world organize themselves to support children and their families.  Global perspectives on children and their families, societal structures and organizations created to support them, and the diverse societal and cultural realities that underlie these structures internationally, including theories of child development, international curriculum models, child and family policy, and cross-cultural comparisons of childhood experiences.  Students explore opportunities for advocacy for children and their families locally and throughout the world, and examine their roles as advocates for the rights of children.
