BIO 547 - Biomechanics of Exercise and Sports


Graduate standing; BIO 634  or consent of instructor. (3)

Concepts and theories of biomechanics of exercise science, with emphasis on biomechanical form and techniques used in exercise and sports.  Labs involve physical participation in functionally relevant activities with the goal of enhancing both safety and performance.  Suitable for professionals working in the fitness and certain health careers (e.g., athletic trainers, physical therapists, sports medicine practitioners, physicians).  Not open to students with credit forBIO 447.
