Study of machine learning, a subfield of artificial intelligence intersecting with statistics, cognitive science, information theory, optimization, and probability theory. Topics include but are not limited to linear discriminants, neural networks, decision trees, support vector machines, unsupervised learning, and reinforcement learning. With examples from real-world applications, students learn to build systems that learn and adapt from experience. Not open to students with credit for ARI 410. Graded ABCDE
