Investigation of body concepts for design. Comparison of design needs between electric vehicles and internal combustion engine vehicles. Practical application of solid/structural mechanics is considered to design automotive bodies for centers of gravity, frunk, etc. Aspects of global bending, torsion, vibration, crashworthiness, topology, material selection, packaging, and manufacturing constraints.
