Introduction to fundamental concepts of data security and privacy, focusing on techniques to ensure safe and privacy-conscious data usage. Topics include security and privacy risks associated with data collection and analysis and technologies and methods used to address these risks, including access control systems, integrity policies, cryptography, encryption, consent management, data anonymization or de-identification, and strategies for data deletion and retention management.
