Introduction to the gathering, synthesis, organization and production of media/content in fundamental journalistic style across multiple media platforms, including the basic tenets of journalism and related legal and ethical issues. Students participate in all aspects of news production including reporting, researching, writing, revising and publishing across digital platforms, gaining experience in design/layout, online and multimedia journalism and emerging technologies, and are given the opportunity to regularly produce work with journalistic emphasis for publication in local news outlets and the student newspaper.
