Project-oriented laboratory in which students select their own procedures from standard biochemical techniques to purify an enzyme from a bacterial source and characterize its molecular weight and kinetic parameters. Four hours recitation/laboratory weekly. Not open to students with credit for CHM 451. Graded ABCDE
