French and Linguistics BA


Prerequisites. FRN 212  or equivalent proficiency as demonstrated by examination.

Requirements.

  1. LIN 313 , LIN 346  (6 credits).
  2. FRN 360  / LIN 360 , FRN 369  / LIN 369  (6 credits).
  3. FRN 291 , FRN 301 , FRN 303 , FRN 309  (10 credits).
  4. FRN 310  and another 300-level literature course in French (6 credits).
  5. All requirements of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS)  Bachelor of Arts degree, including general education requirements and a foreign language in a second foreign language.

Required Cognates.

  1. HIS 210  or HIS 211  or an equivalent history course approved by the advisor; and a course in French history (6 credits).
  2. At least one course in English or comparative literature to be approved by the advisor (3 credits).
  3. One of ANT 240 , ANT 250 , ANT 260 , ANT 271 , ANT 280 , ANT 355  (3 credits).
