Computer Science General Program (BS)

Prerequisite. CSC 122 or other programming experience involving the writing of source code.

Requirements.

All requirements of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) Bachelor of Science degree, including General Education requirements .
MTH 121 , MTH 122 , MTH 220 , MTH 370 ; CSC 230 /CIS 230 /MTH 230 (17 credits).
PHY 143 , PHY 145 (8 credits).
Foundations of programming. CSC 175 ; CSC 275 (recommended) or CSC 276 (8 credits).
Core Courses. CSC 265 , CSC 266 , CSC 277 , CSC 335 , CSC 365 , CSC 375 , CSC 377 , CSC 379 , CSC 381 , CSC 382 , CSC 384 (31 credits).
Grades of C (2.0) or better in at least four from: CSC 335 , CSC 355 , CSC 365 , CSC 375 , CSC 377 , CSC 382 .
One of the following track options (18 credits).
Software Engineering Track.
CSC 383 , CSC 483 ; 12 additional credits in CSC courses at the 300 level or above, with not more than 6 from CSC 391 , CSC 491 , or MTH 374 .
Systems/Networking Track.
CSC 336 , CSC 436 ; three from: CSC 315 , CSC 363 , CSC 378 , CSC 387 , CSC 425 , CSC 477 , CSC 478 ; 3 additional credits in CSC courses at the 300 level or above, or MTH 374 .
Security Track.
CSC 336 , CSC 370 , CSC 378 , CSC 386 , CSC 486; 3 additional credits in CSC courses at the 300 level or above or MTH 374 ; CSC 363 CSC 425 are recommended.
