Public Administration Graduate Programs information

The concentration in Nonprofit Administration and Social Entrepreneurship is designed to meet the needs of current and future public administrators working in the nonprofit and socially aware for-profit sectors. The concentration also will serve, and is appropriate for, those with bachelor’s degrees but no current or previous relevant employment.

Requirements

Thirty-nine to forty-two credits, as follows:

A. Core Courses (30 credits)

B. Concentration Requirements (9 credits)

PUB 525 - Fundamentals of Nonprofit Organizations (3)
Two from:
PUB 520 - Resource Development for Nonprofit Organizations (3)
PUB 548 - Social Entrepreneurship (3)
PUB 594 - Grantwriting and Administration (3)

C. Internship (0-3 credits)

PUB 590 - Internship (3)
Can be waived by advisor if student has 2 or more years of public sector experience.
