Health Care Management (MS)


The MS in Health Care Management program is designed for mid-level managers from the local and regional private and non-profit hospital and health care sectors for whom leadership and organizational knowledge and skills are necessary components of professional success and personal advancement in their respective health care industries.

Mode of Delivery

The Master of Science in Health Care Administration requires a minimum of 30 credit hours and may be completed with a part-time or full-time schedule in a hybrid (online and NetPlus!) format.

Admission to the MS in Health Care Management Program

Admission to the program is not granted until the following materials are submitted and reviewed:

  1. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, supported by transcripts of all completed college work.
  2. A minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.00.
  3. A minimum of 2 years of post-baccalaureate, professional work experience.
  4. A current resume.
  5. 2 letters of recommendation: If time frame of degree completion was greater than 5 years, one professional letter and one letter from employer are required. If time frame of degree completion was less than 5 years or less, one academic and one professional letter are required.
  6. Statement of Purpose.
International Students:

International students must also provide independent and accredited evaluation of their degree and courses for admission and comply with other international student admission requirements such as English language proficiency (TOEFL or IELTS scores).

Application Deadlines

The program has rolling admissions and reviews completed applications each month. Application deadlines are as follows:

  • Fall (early deadline*) - May 1
  • Fall (final deadline) - August 1
  • Winter - November 15
  • Spring - March 15

*Students must apply for admission by the early deadline to be eligible for scholarships, grants, and research assistantships.

International students are required to apply earlier than the deadlines posted here. The final deadlines for international students are May 1 for the fall semester, September 1 for the winter semester, and January 1 for the spring term.

Transfer of Credit

With approval, students may transfer in, or elect as a graduate non-candidate for degree (NCFD), up to six (6) credits of relevant graduate-level coursework.
