Computer Science and Information Systems Program (BS/MS)

Admission

A minimum overall GPA of 3.0 and a minimum GPA of 3.0 in computer science and information systems courses is required for acceptance into the BS/MS program.  The student interested in the BS/MS program should apply junior year.  Upon completion of the requirements for the BS portion of the program, the student is awarded the BS degree.  Upon completion of the remaining 32-34 credits in the MS in CSIS program, the student is awarded the MS degree.  All requirements of the Computer Science Program (BS)  or the Computer Information Systems Program (BS)  with the exception that the student elects 12 credits at the graduate level to satisfy the undergraduate elective course requirements. 

Time Limit for Degree Completion

All requirements of the MS program must be completed within six calendar years of initial enrollment in the program.

Requirements


Bachelor of Science (108 credits)


All requirements of the Computer Science Program (BS)  or the Computer Information Systems Program (BS)  with the exception that the student elects 12 credits at the graduate level to satisfy the undergraduate elective course requirements. 

Master of Science (32-34 credits)


All requirements of the Computer Science and Information Systems (MS) .

 

Minimum Credits for Both Degrees: 140 credits

Honors Program


All bachelor-degree-seeking students with GPAs of 3.5 or higher are eligible to apply to the University of Michigan-Flint Honors Program.  Please contact the Honors Program Manager or the Honors Program Director for further information.
