Mathematics Department information

The Minor in Mathematics provides a good mathematical background for students interested in advanced study in such fields as computer science, economics, the engineering sciences, law, management, and the natural sciences.

Requirements

At least 23 credits as follows:

A. Core Courses (8 credits)

MTH 121 - Calculus I (4)
MTH 122 - Calculus II (4)

B. Electives (15 credits)

At least 15 additional credits in MTH courses numbered 200 or higher, excluding:

MTH 370 - Applied Statistics and Data II (4)
MTH 390 - Problem-Solving Seminar (1)
MTH 391 - Directed Study (1-4)
MTH 393 - Actuarial Exam P Preparation Seminar (1)
MTH 396 - Actuarial Exam FM Seminar (1)
