Artificial Intelligence (BS)


The Artificial Intelligence BS program is designed to give students a comprehensive framework for artificial intelligence with special attention to broad AI topics including machine learning, embedded AI, edge AI & IoT, robotics & human-centered AI, smart manufacturing & industry 4.0, augmented and virtual reality, AI and software engineering, and AI and cybersecurity.

Students will engage in an extensive core intended to develop depth in all core concepts that build a foundation for artificial intelligence theory and practice. They will also be given the opportunity to build on this core knowledge of AI by taking a variety of elective courses selected from CIT units to explore key contextual areas or more complex technical AI applications.

Program graduates will be well positioned to be sought-after employees with top companies in a variety of industries in this rapidly growing AI field, or to progress into advanced degrees in related fields.

Honors Program


All bachelor-degree-seeking students with GPAs of 3.5 or higher are eligible to apply to the University of Michigan-Flint Honors Program . Please contact the Honors Program Manager or the Honors Program Director for further information.
