Health Sciences Program (BS)

The Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences is designed for students with interests in human health leading to graduate study or career advancement.

This degree is designed to provide foundational courses required for professional health science post-graduate work in fields such as medicine, physical therapy, physician assistant, occupational therapy, pharmacy, nutrition, and environmental health.

At least 124 credits, to include:

B. Track of Choice


One of the following tracks:

Pre-Occupational Therapy Track (13-14 credits)


Uniquely designed as preparation for the University of Michigan-Flint’s Occupational Therapy doctoral program.

Pre-Physical Therapy Track (35-36 credits)


Uniquely designed as preparation for the University of Michigan-Flint’s Physical Therapy doctoral program.

Minimum Credits for the Degree: 124 credits

Honors Program


All bachelor-degree-seeking students with GPAs of 3.5 or higher are eligible to apply to the University of Michigan-Flint Honors Program .  Please contact the Honors Program Manager or the Honors Program Director for further information.
