Essentials of Business Certificate

The Essentials in Business certificate program is designed for students looking to enhance their degrees with business foundation processes to own their own businesses or for enhancing their careers. The courses in the program provide an overview of business processes such as accounting, legal issues, marketing, human resources, entrepreneurship, and international business. Students with degrees not in business may be interested in adding this certificate to their transcript to show that they have an introductory background in business; or they may want to start their own business and this program can give them the basics to help them with this goal. Offered fully online in seven-week semesters, the certificate is available only to students pursuing the Accelerated Online Degree Completion Pathway of the Interdisciplinary Studies Program (BIS)  program.

After the student applies for graduation, the certificate is posted to the student’s official transcript and an official diploma stating the area of the certificate is issued.
