Public Health/Business Administration (Dual MPH/MBA)

The overall goal of the dual MPH/MBA program is to educate students to succeed in working in public health sectors with business knowledge and skills.The curriculum allows MPH students to apply up to 12 credits toward both degrees. The degrees are independent.

These dual program courses are offered in a variety of formats; online, on-campus, and online with optional on-campus sessions.

Applicants applies for admission to both degree programs independently.

Requirements (63-72 credits)

Public Health (MPH) Requirements (42-45 credits)

All requirements of the Public Health (MPH) program with the elective chosen from:

HCR 511 - Economic Applications in Health Administration (3)

Business (MBA) Requirements (30-39 credits)

All requirements of the Business Administration (MBA) program with a Health Care Management concentration, except that:

For Required Core courses:
HED 547 - Biostatistics for Health Professionals (4)
substitutes for
SCM 512 - Applied Business Analytics (3)
And the Health Care Management concentration is fulfilled by three from:
HCR 511 - Economic Applications in Health Administration (3)
HCR 577 - Applications of Financial Management in Health Care (3)
HCR 578 - Performance Management in Health Care Organizations (3)
PHS 501 - Public Health Administration and Policy (3)
