Public Policy Certificate

Leadership in local or state level organizations requires a professional level of understanding of the policy making process. The Certificate in Public Policy is designed for students who wish to engage in leadership in the private sector, public agencies and non-profit organizations that work in communities and at the state level. Offered fully online in seven-week semesters, this certificate is only available to students pursuing the Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies - Accelerated Online Degree Completion program.

After the student applies for graduation, the certificate is posted to the student’s official transcript and an official diploma stating the area of the certificate is issued.

Requirements (12 credits)

Completion of 12 credits in the following four courses. A minimum grade of C (2.0) is required in each course.

Additional Requirements

A minimum of 9 credits in the program must be completed at UM-Flint.
Coursework older than 3 years must be reviewed by the Director of the AODC Program for content alignment with current certificate requirements.
