Mobility management, mobile Internet protocol, wireless local area networks, software support for mobile and wireless standards, the role of middleware, performance issues. Emerging technologies and mobile operating systems. Security issues of mobile computing will be an important component. Android and/or iPhone will be used to develop basic software for smartphones.
