Concept generation, concept evaluation, product definition, product evaluation for performance, quality, cost, manufacturability, assembly, reliability and other measures. Project definition and planning, project management, product and project performance evaluation using cost and schedule performance index. Safety consideration and human factors in design, legal and ethical issues in engineering design. Entrepreneurship and innovation in product development process.
