Overview of Lean/Six Sigma principles and practices, including methodology and tools, cultural approach, dashboards, process mapping, applied statistics, and other business improvement techniques. Students learn how to implement Lean/Six Sigma initiatives in manufacturing operations and operate with awareness of Lean/Six Sigma at the enterprise level, gaining an understanding of the strategic importance of business improvement, the need for fact-based management, and ways to deploy these tools in different parts of the value chain. Not open to students with credit for SCM 381. Graded ABCDE
