Introduction to the field of women’s, gender, and sexuality studies and to scholarly and other writing about women’s lives and gender as a social identity, structure, and process. Examination of the feminist reconstruction of knowledge; intersectionality and differences in gender experiences based on race/ethnicity, class, sexual orientation; cultural representation of women; politics of personal lives; women’s and gender-based activism.
