SCM 583 - Demand and Revenue Management in Supply Chains Graduate standing. (3)
Introduction to novel practices in demand and revenue management, and their applications in supply chains. While conventional demand management techniques do not incorporate prices and macroeconomic factors, most perishable suppliers make their (pricing) decisions based on availability, location, vintage, and customer classes. These approaches are commonly used in practice and relevant for industries such as air transportation, hospitality (hotels, cruises, theme parks, casinos), car rental, media, broadcasting, natural-gas storage and transmission, electricity generation and transmission, show business (concerts, theaters, sport events) and universities. Not open to students with credit for SCM 491. Graded ABCDE
