NSC 100 - Student Success in Nursing


Prior or concurrent election of NSC 207 . (1)

Investigation of strategies for student success in the nursing program, including time management, study skills, note-taking skills, test-taking skills, appraisal of evidence, and scholarly writing.  Additional focus on the development of oral, written and group communication skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills necessary for success.  Students make connections with key resource people (e.g., Tutoring Services, Disability and Accessibility Services, Counseling and Psychological Services, the Center for Simulation and Clinical Innovation), available to students throughout the program.  May be reelected to a total of 6 credits. Graded Pass/Fail
