Synthesis of nursing and public health science, focusing on maintenance of optimal levels of health and wellness among individuals, families, groups and aggregates in community settings. Introduction to epidemiology principles, with emphasis on disease prevention and health promotion among population groups. In clinical experiences in varied community settings, students apply synthesized knowledge and practice nursing skills essential in caring for a community’s health. Theory/clinical. Graded ABCDE/Y
