Provides theoretical framework for care of individuals, families, aggregates, communities and populations based upon synthesis of nursing, community health, public health and related population health theories. Emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention, reduction of controllable health risks, impact of health disparities, and theoretical bases for roles and responsibilities of nurses in various community health specialities.
