Examination of sociological dimensions of the division of labor; particular emphasis on professional/managerial occupations. Topics may include: occupational recruitment and socialization, occupational and labor market structures, organizational context of work, employment relationship, job satisfaction, labor-management relations, implications of technological change and globalization, effects of gender, age and race/ethnicity on the work experience.
