The University of Michigan-Flint’s Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy (BSRT) is a dynamic online program designed for active respiratory therapists seeking to advance their education while continuing their professional practice. The degree advancement program allows for a seamless transition from an Associate to a Bachelor’s degree, offering flexibility to accommodate individual schedules, including an expedited option to complete the program in as little as 12 months.

The BSRT curriculum is robust, focusing on areas such as respiratory leadership, administration, education, and specialized respiratory care practices, notaby in critical care, disease management, and diagnostics. The program’s objective is to prepare graduates for roles as advanced clinicians, administrators, educators, and specialists in various professional settings.

Additionally, the program is structured to prepare students for advanced examinations administered by the National Board for Respiratory Care encompassing Neonatal Pediatric Specialty (NPS), Adult Critical Care Specialty (ACCS), Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist Specialty (RPFT), and Sleep Disorders Specialty (SDS) credentials.
