Music Minor

Requirements. Twenty-five credits, distributed as follows:

1. Music history and theory (12 credits).
   Six credits from each group below.
   1. Music theory (6 credits).
      MUS 135 , MUS 141 , MUS 142 , MUS 143 , MUS 144 , MUS 241 , MUS 242 , MUS 243 .
   2. Music history (6 credits). 
      MUS 220 , MUS 222 , MUS 226 , MUS 261 , MUS 262 , MUS 361 , MUS 422 , MUS 455 .
2. Performance (10 credits).
   1. Applied Music*  (6 credits).
      From: MUS 151  MUS 152 , MUS 251 , MUS 252 , MUS 351 , MUS 352 , MUS 451 , MUS 452 .
      [*Students enrolled in Applied Music must be concurrently enrolled in a large performance ensemble (see Applied Music course description).]
   2. Ensemble (4 credits).
3. Additional courses in Music to bring the total to 25 credits (excluding MUS 100 ).
