Requirements. Sixty-Six credits, to include:

1. Introduction to social sciences (3 credits). SST 201 .
2. Core disciplinary sequences (42 credits).
   1. ECN 201 , ECN 202  , ECN 380  (9 cr.).
   2. GEO 115 , GEO 116 , GEO 216  (9 cr.). 
   3. HIS 112 , HIS 113 , HIS 220 , HIS 221 , HIS 329  (15 cr.).
   4. POL 120 , POL 190 , POL 310  (9 cr.).
3. Upper-level courses (18 credits). Electives in a concentration area (either history or political science), including 6 credits from U.S., 6 credits from World, and 6 additional credits from either U.S. or World.
   History Concentration
   U.S. HIS 334 , HIS 335 /AFA 335 , HIS 369 , HIS 409 , HIS 410 , HIS 411 , HIS 435  /AFA 435 .
   World. HIS 336 /AFA 336 , HIS 343 , HIS 352 , HIS 360 , HIS 372 , HIS 374 , HIS 412 , HIS 479 .
   Political Science Concentration
   U.S. POL 304 /AFA 304 , POL 329 , POL 331 , POL 375 , POL 437 .
   World. POL 333 , POL 340 , POL 344 , POL 345 .
4. Capstone (3 credits).  SST 301 .
5. All requirements of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS)  Bachelor of Arts degree, including distribution requirements in addition to general education requirements .

Note: This program is a Comprehensive Group Major; no teacher’s certificate minor is required.
