Requirements.   Thirty-six credits in English, distributed as follows, with each course used to satisfy only one requirement

    4. American literature after 1900 (3 credits). One from ENG 353 , ENG 357 , ENG 368 , ENG 432 , ENG 433 , ENG 434 .
    5. British literature before 1800 (3 credits). One from ENG 301 , ENG 303 , ENG 307 /MES 307 , ENG 310 , ENG 312 , ENG 315 , ENG 316 , ENG 317 , ENG 319 , ENG 326 , ENG 327 , ENG 329 , ENG 330

  3. Linguistics (3 credits). ENG 200  or  ENG 244 .
  4. Capstone seminar (3 credits). ENG 400 .
  5. Elective (3 credits). One additional ENG or ENG-crosslisted course at the 200 level or above.
  6. Completion of an Individual Major Portfolio. Consult the department for portfolio guidelines.
  7. All requirements of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) Bachelor of Arts  degree, including General Education requirements  and additional BA distribution requirements.
