Applied Psychology Program (BS)

Psychology Department information  

The Program in Applied Psychology is designed to provide intensive pre-professional training to prepare the student for direct application of principles and practices of psychology to community problems or for graduate education in human service areas of psychology or other applied disciplines. The program offers a balance between theoretical/empirical and practical skills.

Appropriate courses outside psychology are selected in conjunction with the academic advisor. To best prepare students consistent with their individual career goals, attention of students is directed to: Political Science Economics Public Administration , Criminal Justice , Public Administration , Anthropology , Social Work Substance Abuse Treatment and Prevention  and Health Care .
