Economics General Program (BA)

A. Economics

Thirty-three credits in economics including:

• ECN 201 - Principles of Economics (Macroeconomics) (3)
• ECN 202 - Principles of Economics (Microeconomics) (3)
• ECN 315 - Intermediate Microeconomic Theory (3).
• ECN 354 - Intermediate Macroeconomic Theory (3).

•  

• With no more than three credits from:

• ECN 391 - Directed Reading in Economics (1-3).
• ECN 394 - Directed Research in Economics (1-3).
• ECN 395 - Internship in Applied Economics (3-6).

B. Statistics

A course in statistics; preferably:

• SCM 211 - Business Statistics (3)

C. Other Social Sciences

An introductory course and at least nine credits in advanced (300 level) courses in social sciences other than economics.

D. Mathematics

One from:

• MTH 118 - Calculus for Management and Social Sciences (4)
• MTH 120 - Pre-Calculus Mathematics (4)
• MTH 121 - Calculus I (4)

E. Additional Requirements

All requirements of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) Bachelor of Arts  degree, including General Education requirements  and additional BA distribution requirements.
 

Minimum Credits for the Degree: 120 credits
