Objectives

The Management major prepares students for professional careers in the administration and management of work forces in all types of organizations.

The curriculum emphasizes leadership and team skills. The major also gives the students the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills in specific tracks of entrepreneurship and operations management.

Management faculty members are available to consult with students wishing to pursue careers in any of the afore-mentioned areas.

Requirements

In addition to the requirements for the BBA degree , at least 18 additional credits as follows:

A. Core Courses (9 credits)

MGT 347 - Managing Projects and Teams (3).
MGT 449 - Issues in Leadership and Change Management (3).
One from:
BUS 394 - Business Internship Experience (1 or 3).
INB 442 - International Management (3).
MGT 359 - Business and Society (3).
MGT 443 - Develop Negotiations Skills (3).

B. Track Option (9 credits)

One of the following:

Entrepreneurship

EIM 340 - Introduction to Entrepreneurship (3).
EIM 349 - Innovation Management (3).
EIM 440 - Entrepreneurship and New Venture Creation (3).

Operations Management

FIN 316 - Business Conditions Analysis (3).
SCM 372 - Advanced Operations Management (3).
SCM 374 - Topics in Quality Management (3).
Minimum Credits for the Degree: 120 credits
