Organizational Behavior and Human Resources Management Major


Objectives


The Organizational Behavior and Human Resources Management major prepares students for managerial positions and to contribute to the human resource functions within organizations.

The curriculum focuses on developing communication, interpersonal, team-building, and leadership skills. It also emphasizes the study of employee work behavior and how to maximize the potential of an organization’s human resources. Students study the processes and structures as they relate to managing behavior within organizations, as well as the practices and skills necessary for strategic human resource management functions, including recruitment and hiring systems, employment law, and the training of employees.

Organizational behavior and human resource management faculty members are available to consult with students wishing to pursue careers in any of the above-mentioned areas.
